Motion Viewer

Motion Viewer was developed by Pete Divers, Daniel Skovli and John McCormick at the Deakin Motion.lab, Deakin University Melbourne Australia.
It allows viewing of Motion Analysis .TRC format files on MAC and PC desktops and on iPad and Android tablets. The app works with files on the hard drive on MAC and PC, and also has Dropbox integration on both desktop and mobile platforms. This document describes setting up the development (Beta) version on the iPad with Dropbox.

To install the development version of the Motion.lab Viewer for iPad:

You should have received a MotionViewer*.ipa file and a MotionViewer*.mobileprovision file. The names might vary slightly depending on the development cycle.

Drag the provisioning profile (ending in *.mobileprovision) onto the iTunes icon in the dock.

Drag the *.ipa file into iTunes and drop it onto the Apps icon area as follows.

If you can’t see the Sidebar, choose View / Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu. If there is an older version in iTunes choose “Replace”. Click the “Install” item next to the app name, it will change to “Will Install”. Apply and Synch your iPad. Hopefully the app will install and you are good to go.

If the app installs then upon starting you should see something like this:

Click on the file you want to watch and it will download and display (It may take a little time depending on size and network speed. After the first time you download the file, it should be faster for subsequent viewing as it will load the files from cache) . The controls are the same as the desktop version after that, except with touch controls.
